The Key Training Center’s Reach for the Stars Dinner Auction is one of The Key Training Center's most anticipated annual events, bringing the community together for an evening of celebration, generosity, and fun. Hosted on the Key Training Center campus in Lecanto, the event features a themed dinner experience, live and silent auctions, and a festive atmosphere that often includes creative décor and entertainment inspired by that year’s theme. Guests enjoy a delicious catered meal, an open bar, and the excitement of bidding on a wide range of auction items and raffle prizes donated by local businesses and supporters.
More than just a social gathering, the Reach for the Stars Dinner Auction serves a meaningful purpose—raising critical funds that support scholarships and essential programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Proceeds help sustain services not covered by state funding, ensuring that participants have access to opportunities that promote independence, dignity, and inclusion. The event also provides an opportunity for businesses, community leaders, and residents to come together in support of a cause that truly makes a difference in the lives of others.
RUN FOR THE MONEY June 20-25
For the 49th time, Key Center Volunteer Runners will run 180 miles in support of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities from the steps of the Capitol building in Tallahassee to Lecanto. Watch your social media platforms and support their efforts with any donation amount.

Join the Community (Virtual) Run for the Money! 🚶♀️💙 June 25 – July 25, 2026
Be part of something meaningful run, walk, or bike anytime, anywhere to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Whether you go solo or rally a team, you'll be making a difference and have the chance to compete for fun prizes like Most Miles Logged and Most Funds Raised! Register by July 1 to receive a free event T-shirt and join the cause for just $30 per person.
WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES - July 25, 2026 - 9 AM
Pick a home to represent and show individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities everywhere that you support them and are willing to WALK A MILE IN THEIR SHOES! Registration is now open at $30 per person. Early check in will be at 8am at the Key Center’s Lecanto Campus Pavilion located at 1311 N. Garnett Miller Loop and the walk will begin at 9am. Register by July 1, to receive a team T-shirt.
