Suncoast Primate Sanctuary

On June 7, residents from The KEY's Davis and Simons homes enjoyed a memorable day at the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary in Palm Harbor. The group spent the day learning about the sanctuary's mission to provide lifelong care for rescued primates and other exotic animals, many of whom came from challenging circumstances.

Residents had the opportunity to observe a variety of animals, learn about conservation and animal welfare, and connect with nature in a unique and engaging environment. The visit concluded with a picnic lunch, giving everyone time to relax, share stories, and enjoy the beautiful Florida weather together.

For 60 years, The KEY has been creating opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to explore their communities, build new experiences, and make lasting memories. Every outing, friendship, and adventure is a reminder that we are stronger when everyone has the opportunity to belong, learn, and thrive.

Thank you to everyone at The Cove for making our folks feel so special. You turned a fun night into a fantastic one!

When community shows up with heart, everybody wins.
